MOCLog at the first Moodle Research Conference, 14-15 September, Crete (Greece)
A paper about the MOCLog project has been accepted at the first edition of the Moodle Research Conference, that will take place on 14-15 September in Crete (Greece).
The paper, titled Monitoring Online Courses with log data, has been written by Riccardo Mazza (eLab), Marco Bettoni (FFHS), Marco FarĂ© and Luca Mazzola (eLab), and will be presented in the session “Learning analytics”.

EDEN Best Research Award Paper to Emanuele Rapetti & Lorenzo Cantoni
Emanuele Rapetti and Lorenzo Cantoni have been awarded the Best Research Paper Award at EDEN 2012 with a paper on: Reconsidering “Gen Y” & Co: From Minding the Gap to Overcoming it, where they have presented also the results of the survey “Learners’ voices @ USI & SUPSI“.

Progetto BPS (Suisse) presentato alla red-conference
The project in collaboration with BPS (Suisse) aimed at the introduction of eLearning activities in the training program of the bank has been presented on March 9, 2011 at the red-conference, the international conference promoted by NewMinE Lab on “Rethinking education in the knowledge society”.
The paper written by Silvia De Ascaniis, Stefano Tardini and Emanuele Rapetti has been published in the conference proceedings and can be downloaded in the section Papers.

From March 7th to 10th 2011, the New Media in Education Laboratory (NewMinE Lab) of Università della Svizzera italiana, organizes, together with Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and University of Sankt Gallen, Red-Conference.
Red-Conference – “Rethinking Education in the knowledge society” – aims at bringing together experts and researchers investigating the field of technology in education. The setting for this informative event is Centro Stefano Franscini – the congress centre of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich (ETH Zurich) situated at Monte VeritĂ in Ascona.
