GISMO 2.0 was presented at the VI edition of the MoodleMoot Italy conference. MoodleMoot is a conference dedicated to users, developers and administrators of the very popular open-source Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. The conference takes place at the national level, almost all over the world. For the Italian community, it was held this year in Bari, on July 2-3, at the Campus Universitario “Ernesto Quagliariello”.

On March the 23rd a beta version of the new Gismo has been released. GISMO is a tool able to extract tracking data of Moodle users and to generate graphical representations, for supportin instructors’ monitoring of class and students.

The features of version 2.0, differently from the previous version, are the following:

- it supports the latest (1.9.x) version of Moodle

- user interface does not use anymore Java applets, but it has been redesigned from scratch and it is based on modern AJAX interface.
