iTunes U is a huge catalog of free educational content. Hundreds of universities and other educational institutions publish on iTunes U lectures, videos, books and other learning resources. With the start of the academic year 2013-2014, the USI channel onÂ iTunes UÂ has officially been opened and launched .
To visualize or subscribe to the USI collections on iTunes U:
fromÂ iPhone & iPad: download the iTunes UÂ appÂ from the AppStore, then search the USI channel.
fromÂ computerÂ (PC & MAC): install iTunes (freely available atÂ http://www.apple.com/itunes/); go to theÂ StoreÂ and click on iTunes U. The USI channel is under theÂ Universities & CollegesÂ category.
Mindmeister is a tool that allows to create collaboratively and to share conceptual maps on the web. With real-time collaboration it is possible to organize brainstorming sessions and to create, manage and share maps anytime and from anywhere.
Turnitin is an anti-plagiarism software that allows to check if a text (or part of it) has been copied from the internet or from another text available in the net. Turnitin is integrated into the iCorsi2 platform.

Prezi is a nice alternative to PowerPoint to make presentations. It basically employs a big canvas where it is possible to zoom in and out on the different elements of the presentation, thus helping to show the overview of the presentation. It is easy to use and very effective.

Collab is a service offered by SWITCH, realized through the application Adobe Connect, which allows teachers of all Higher Education Institutions in Switzerland to create and manage conferences on the web and online lectures.

URL (User Requirements with Lego) is a methodology developed by webatelier.net and NewMinE Lab which helps to helicit user requirements for online communication applications. URL is an application of Lego Serious Play (LSP), a method that intend to â€śgive your brain a handâ€ť: in fact the main idea is doing while thinking, in order to stimulate and enhance creativity.

GISMO (Graphical Interactive Student MOnitoring and tracking system) is a module for Moodle which extracts data about usersâ€™ personal activity on the Moodle and represents them graphically. GISMO allows Moodle teachers to graphically visualize the behavior of their classes and students, highlighting trends and identifying students who need special care.
DOOR (Digital Open Object Repository) is an open source software which allows to create free learning object repositories, using the IMS standard. DOOR can be integrated into Moodle (until version 1.8.x) through the dedicated plugin. Since the first version was released (September 2006), DOOR has been downloaded over 6,000 times.
Text-cloud is a Moodle block that automatically generates a text-cloud with the most frequents keywords of each course.Â The size of the keywords in the visual representation corresponds to the frequency of the keywords in the resources of the course.
Notifications is a Moodle block which allows the users enrolled in a course to automatically receive notifications about the main changes occurred within the course (e.g., new resources added, resources modified, etc.). Notifications are sent by e-mail, RSS or SMS, according to the student’s choice.
