The S-Play Project Team held its third project meeting in Durham (UK), on December 16-17, 2013. The venerable University of Durham was a suitable venue for the reflections on the team’s work thus far and for formulating a new strategy for the next phase of the project.
eLab collaborates with webatelier.net in the development of a new mobile application dedicated to the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites (WHS) in Ticino (Switzerland): the cultural site Three Castles, Defensive Wall and Ramparts of the Market-Town of Bellinzona, and the natural site Monte San Giorgio. The app provides in-depth information, pictures, audio and video materials on both Heritage Sites and on surrounding points of interest. It also includes various entertaining games, as well as useful information for tourists coming to the region. The integration of a map allows users to see their own position and to spot surrounding attractions. The app is developed thanks to the support of ORANGE Communications SA, which in 2012 has donated its Swiss Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget for this mobile application project.
