eLab is collaborating with webatelier.net in the development of a new eLearning platform for Switzerland Tourism. The platform is addressed to travel agents and tour operators, who are selling Switzerland as a tourism destination, helping them better plan and market trips to Switzerland.
eLab is in charge of the technical implementation of the Moodle-based LMS and of its contents, specifically of the interactive ones.
The platform will be available on March 2017 in its English version.

The tests on the¬†“Safe Exam Browser (SEB)” software continue at USI. After a first test in the course of Medieval history (“Storia medievale” – prof. Marco Meschini) during the Autumn Semester 2015-2016, on Monday, June 27th, 2016,¬†the exam of the course of Multimedia application (“Applicazioni multimediali”), given by dr. Silvia De Ascaniis¬†and prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, was held.
The exam was taken by 80 students of the Faculty of communication sciences; 65 of them used the SEB software on their own laptops or on the laptops provided by the university, without any relevant issue. The remaining 15 students preferred doing the exam on paper.
SEB is a software that allows safely running online exams on the iCorsi2 platform using the Quiz activity. The software changes any computer into a secure workstation, regulating the access to utilities, and preventing unauthorised resources being used during an exam.
