The Swiss Network for International Studies¬†(SNIS) proposes a debate on the¬†education for tomorrow: “Information and Communication Technologies in Education: Opportunities and Challenges”.
“How do new technologies open¬†new opportunities¬†for education at a global level? How do they help us face the challenges of migrations and globalization? What are the main features of digital natives and what is their relationship with current school systems?” Dr. Francesc Pedr√≥, chief¬†of Education Policy at¬†UNESCO, and an expert from the¬†UNHCR Learn Lab¬†will discuss these issues during the debate, which will take place on Monday, February 15, at 17.30 in Locarno,¬†in the¬†Aula Magna of ¬†SUPSI¬†Dipartimento formazione e apprendimento.

On September 9-11, 2015, the multiconference Em&M Italia 2015, organized by the Italian Society of eLearning¬†(SIe-L), the Italian Society of Research on Media Education (SIREM) and the Italian Moodle Community, took place in Genova.

From 18th to 20th May 2015, Stefano Tardini, Elisabetta Decarli-Frick and Jingjing Lin, had the chance to meet and attend¬†the presentations of the main stakeholders involved in the world of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).

On January 14-15, the Eduhub days 2015, the annual meeting of the Swiss eLearning community, took place in Basel.
The 7th edition of the Eduhub Days focused on Design Thinking; about 130 participants coming from all Swiss Higher Education Institutions attended the meeting.¬†The keynote speeches were held by Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel (Design Thinking Division, Institute of Information Management, University of S.Gallen) and by Prof. Ulrich Weinberg (School of Design Thinking, Hasso-Plattner-Institute).
During the first day, participants had the chance to experience the Design Thinking method thanks to the workshops organized by the team of Prof. Uebernickel; the second day was as usual devoted to Innovation Caf√©s.

On November 18-20, the¬†conference¬†‚ÄúNew dimension of trainings for small and medium enterprises‚ÄĚ took place in Kielnarowa, Poland (at the University of Information Technology and Management).
The event attracted more than 50 participants, who could experience some innovative methodologies, including Lego Serious Play.
The S-Play team presented the project and its main results, such as the White Paper “LEGO¬ģ SERIOUS PLAY¬ģ – A state of the art of its applications in Europe”, the workshops held during the summer in the partner countries, and the e-demonstrator (online by the end of this year on the project website). In addition, Stefano Tardini facilitated a workshop to present one of the applications of LSP: URL – User Requirements with Lego.
In parallel to the conference, the last S-Play meeting took place. The project will end at the end of december 2014.
