Approach: the fast prototyping

The originality of the approach adopted by eLab consists in considering the fast prototyping as a communication "catalyst": this approach, in fact, allows to promote the discussion within the project group in a focused way, by concentrating on the facts and the results, rather than on theories and prejudices against technologies. A focused communication eases the reciprocal comprehension among the different professionals involved in the project and builds trust: two important conditions for the success of the project. The reasons why eLab has developed an its own model of fast prototyping are:

• make the planning and development process flexible to the new ideas that emerge progressively from the development work of the project, by offering discussion moments in which new ideas can be taken account of;
  
• make the planning and development process adaptable to new needs that emerge from the test and evaluation phases; the scenary of the usage of the courses, in fact, is different in the different istitutions, part indefinite - also because of the changements in the curricula of the different istitutions - and not entirely available at the beginning of the project;
  
• allow lecturers, assistants and sector's experts to concentrate on the didactical activity rather than on the mere technologies, letting them try the courses;
  
• stimulate the communication with external partners.
