Goal of the project is to develop and deploy university apps based on the same standard as in phase 1 to leverage synergies and save development costs. The existing solution will be extended with modules that support more sophisticated features and existing modules will be adapted to the specific requirements of Swiss Higher Education Institutions. These modules can be easily customized to the requirements of other Swiss HEI and will be available for free as open source modules, including extensive documentation. The modules will use existing standards used by Swiss universities, thus being very easily applicable for other Swiss HEI.
The following modules will be developed: eLearning (integration of the Moodle LMS), Library interface, AAI-Interface, personal timetable.
This project has been carried out as part of the “AAA/SWITCH – e-infrastructure for e-science” program under the leadership of SWITCH, the Swiss National Research and Education Network, and has been supported by funds from the State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER), the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET) and ETH Board.
